At our monthly meetings, we present and discuss the politics, culture, history, economics, language, business, and the social issues of individual European countries, reflecting also on some of the challenges which Europe as a whole, is facing: populism, immigration, Donald Trump, EU, NATO, Ukraine and Russia… and of course we reflect on how these developments affect us in the UK.
The only qualification you need is having an interest in the topics and issues, or wanting to find out more. You can simply listen if you prefer… but there are many opportunities to contribute to discussions if you want to. The atmosphere is entirely informal.
We meet at United Reformed Church Hall in Broad Street, on the first floor (lift available) in the David Livingstone Room, on the second Thursday of each month, from 10.00am to 12.00, preceded by refreshments at the start.
