The Croquet Group has migrated!  Officially, we are no longer exclusively a Stamford u3a Group as we have accepted an invitation from the Easton-on-the-Hill Bowls Club to make use of their lawn and any member of either group is welcome to come to our sessions, which are every Thursday afternoon from 2.00pm, at least until the end of September this year. All equipment is provided, and having joined the Bowls Club, for £10, members are welcome to come to their sessions as well.  Details of those are available from Martin if interested.

It is true that the lawn is not as good a surface as was the case with the tennis court, but we are a friendly group which doesn't take the scoring too seriously and the Bowls Club occupies a lovely site overlooking the valley - access is from the back of the Church near the Peace Garden, PE9 3LL. We play Golf Croquet. The pavilion doesn't have facilities for refreshments, so you are advised to bring your own, particularly if the weather is warm.
