We are a friendly group who are always happy to welcome u3a members to our activities, which are held at 2pm on the third Tuesday of every month except December. We ask that you register as members of the Garden Group so that we can notify you by email of forthcoming events, ascertain numbers attending for catering purposes and arrange lifts for non drivers.

In the autumn and winter we meet at the Church Hall of St Peter and Paul’s Church, Great Casterton PE9 4AP, and have speakers on garden-related topics followed by refreshments. There is a charge of £6 to cover costs.

In the spring and summer we visit a garden, usually within a 30 mile radius of Stamford, sharing cars where possible with a suggested contribution towards petrol costs.

Many gardens we visit are opened to raise money for charity, with the owners making a charge for entry, which usually includes tea/coffee and cake.

We have to confirm numbers in advance and some gardens also need payment in advance. If you sign up for a visit and subsequently have to cancel after the final date, for whatever reason, we will have to pay for your place and will ask you kindly to reimburse us.
